GTM North,
answered.

What GTM North is, how its events work, how to join, how city chapters work, and how to sponsor.

The basics.

What is GTM North?

GTM North is an in-person community for people who go to market in Canada. GTM stands for go-to-market: the sales, marketing, and revenue work of bringing a product to customers. GTM North calls the people who do that work at B2B (business-to-business) companies operators. They meet at its events to share what’s working and make introductions that lead to hires, customers, and cofounders. It started in Toronto in 2026.

Who is GTM North for?

GTM North is for people who drive revenue at B2B companies in Canada: sales, marketing, revenue operations (RevOps), customer success, account managers, and founders. RevOps teams run a company’s sales systems and data. That includes people in their first sales or marketing job and people leading a team.

Who founded GTM North?

Three people working in Canadian sales and marketing founded GTM North in 2026. Max Woo is Head of Sales Development at Landbase; before that, he built LavaReach without outside funding and sold it. Iffy Alade is a Senior Associate and Growth Executive at CV Labs, has started and sold multiple companies, and cofounded Everyside, where he remains. Jon Tjoandi is Head of Market Development at Rose Rocket, where he built the business development team from the ground up.

What happens at a GTM North event?

Operators meet in person and talk openly about what’s working in their sales and marketing and what isn’t. The format changes from event to event. At Vol. 2, GTM North’s second event, Kim Benedict moderated an on-stage conversation about selling in the age of AI with Daniel Saks, Claudia Natasia, and Nicole Kataev.

How is GTM North different from online sales communities?

GTM North is built around in-person events. Members use Slack to keep talking between events, but the events come first. The idea behind it: the best go-to-market ideas aren’t on LinkedIn, they come out of conversations people have face to face. The events.

When is the next GTM North event?

GTM North’s third event, Vol. 3, is planned for November 2026 in Toronto. The venue and speakers haven’t been announced yet. Members are told first when registration opens, so they can register before anyone else. Join GTM North to get that first access.

Where do GTM North events take place?

Every GTM North event so far has been in Toronto: Vol. 1 at Startuptive and Vol. 2 at Vena HQ. Each event lists its own venue. GTM North is also recruiting local chapter teams in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Halifax to run events in those cities.

How big are GTM North events?

Vol. 1 brought 150 sales, marketing, and revenue operators to Startuptive in April 2026. Vol. 2, run in partnership with Women in Tech Sales, brought 250 operators to Vena HQ in August 2026. Both events sold out.

How do I register for a GTM North event?

GTM North runs event registration on Luma, an event registration website. Each event page on gtmnorth.ca links to its Luma listing. Registration for Vol. 3 isn’t open yet; join GTM North to hear as soon as it opens.

Getting in.

How do I join GTM North?

Apply on the Join page. The form asks for your name, email, phone, company, title, city, and LinkedIn profile, plus who referred you, if anyone. GTM North follows up after you apply.

What do GTM North founding members get?

People who join GTM North now join as founding members. Founding members get a personalized black metal membership card and first access to every event, operator dinner, and new city chapter GTM North launches. They also get introductions to other members, a Slack community for talking between events, and a say in what GTM North builds next.

Your city.

Where is GTM North starting chapters?

GTM North is building local chapters in five Canadian cities, each run by a City Head with help from Ambassadors. Toronto and Vancouver are recruiting Ambassadors. Calgary, Montreal, and Halifax are recruiting a City Head and Ambassadors. See the open roles on the Chapters page.

What’s the difference between a City Head and an Ambassador?

A City Head leads a GTM North chapter: they build the local team, find venues and sponsors, and run the events. In return, they get a share of local sponsorship revenue and a direct line to GTM North’s founders. An Ambassador brings their network, helps fill events, and speaks for GTM North in their city. Ambassador is the lighter commitment and the fastest route to becoming a City Head. Apply for whichever role is open in your city.

How do I apply for a GTM North chapter role?

Apply on the Chapters page. You choose one of the five chapter cities and a role that’s open there. You also share your first event idea and explain your connection to that city’s go-to-market scene. The last question asks how many hours a week you can give, from 1 to 3 up to more than 5.

Sponsorship.

How can my company sponsor GTM North?

Companies can back GTM North three ways. They can sponsor one of its numbered events, like Vol. 2. They can co-create an event that brings their own community together with GTM North’s. Or they can host the next event at their space. Start on the Partners page, or email hello@gtmnorth.ca.

Who sponsors GTM North?

GTM North’s founding sponsors, the first companies to back it, are Landbase, OneCore Media, and AeXT. Women in Tech Sales, a community for women in sales, was GTM North’s community partner for Vol. 2, which brought 250 operators to Vena HQ.
